Description
The Flowerhouse chair began with the geometry of a deltoidal hexecontahedron—a sixty-faced polyhedron built from repeating kite-shaped surfaces. The form was digitally modeled, opened into a usable seating shell, and translated into a system of flat components that could be fabricated and assembled into a complex three-dimensional structure.
Individual parts were developed from the digital model, cut from sheet material, and organized around repeating connection points. The completed chair demonstrates how computational geometry and digital fabrication can transform an abstract mathematical form into a functional, human-scale object.
